THE AUTHOR

F.M. Lancaster retired as Senior Lecturer at Harper Adams University College, Newport, Shropshire in 1993 after 38 years teaching diploma and degree students.

His specialist subject was Animal Breeding and Genetics. He obtained a post-graduate diploma in Genetics in 1969 at Edinburgh University.

He has written several scientific papers and other publications on the genetics of waterfowl and other poultry and also on avian incubation techniques and the treatment of hatching eggs.

His interest in genealogy came about as a result of earlier research by other family members. His own records have since been considerably extended by his daughter who now has her own web site.
